About this puzzle

Hans Krondahl was a Swedish textile designer whose work reflected the clean lines and functional approach that became a hallmark of Scandinavian design in the mid-20th century. Rather than relying on elaborate decoration, Krondahl used simple shapes, balanced patterns, and carefully chosen colors to create textiles that were both practical and visually striking. Many of his designs were produced by the Swedish textile manufacturer Borås Wäfveri, which played a major role in bringing Scandinavian fabrics to homes around the world.

Blues (Furnishing Fabric) is a repeating textile pattern built around overlapping shades of blue and geometric forms. Instead of depicting a scene or recognizable subject, the design creates interest through rhythm, color, and repetition. The different tones of blue give the fabric depth while keeping the overall look calm and balanced. Like much of Scandinavian textile design from the period, it was made to be both functional and attractive, bringing modern design into everyday living spaces.
